One of my most favourite places gave in to commercialism today. A sad day for me personally as Prince Edward Island was one of my favourite places to go. I liked the fact that they were closed on Sundays, but we all know about this monkey see monkey do thing. If I jump over a bridge, a thousand people have to follow.
Just because our province here in Nova Scotia decided to allow more cars to pollute our atmosphere and cause more emissions doesn't mean that Prince Edward Island had to follow. Not to mention that families will also suffer with retail workers being forced to work. If I were a retail worker over in PEI, I'd be extremely mad about this whole situation .Imagine if you are a new hire over in the island, you can not refuse to work on Sunday. If you have worked prior to the law, you can refuse to work on Sunday. I do have to say that the Nova Scotia law is alot better, as all retail workers here can refuse to work on Sunday.
Right to refuse to work on Sunday in Nova Scotia
Right
to refuse to work in Prince Edward Island
Retail workers need to hold rallys, get petitions and protest this slavery imposed on them by their government. Pat Binns ought to be ashamed of himself for selling you out!
