Sydney mall shuts it's doors on Sunday
Posted by sos on Friday, February 16 @ 11:27:04 PST
Sunday Shopping in Canada Wow ,I was just so tickled to hear the news that a mall in Cape Breton Nova Scotia, is actually going to close it's doors on Sunday. The mall will be closed every Sunday from Feb. 25 until June 24, when it will open again seven days a week until the end of December.

Full story on mall closing it's doors on Sunday

It goes to show everyone, that there are so many dollars per week to spend. It's time for our government to reinstate the ban on Sunday & Holiday shopping. From what we have gathered, there are no extra hours for retail staff who are willing to give up their day of rest on Sunday. Sales did not increase because stores have opened on Sunday. Families are suffering in our province, as many of them are scared to tell their employer that working on Sundays just doesn't cut it for them any more. Small business'are suffering, losing milk and bread sales. I do not shop on Sundays, but how can we compare a small corner store to a big box store that makes millions of dollars in profit? How can we compare an orange toan apple? With all the talk about Global warming, shouldn't we introduce the ban on Sunday shopping? Think about it , with all the traffic and pollution, isn't it time that government close these stores? These stores also have their lights on all day. Seems like a waste of energy. Hats off to the Mayflower Mall in Cape Breton. It's time that our families are put in first place instead of last place.
