Sunday Shopping in Canada
I had to write an article this morning that has me fuming over comments made in this article  -  As Sunday shopping ends for the winter the debate on opening rears its head again in The Guardian  http://www.theguardian.pe.ca/index.cfm?sid=312831&sc=103

Proposal to change Sunday shopping hours in Winnipeg

Sunday Shopping / Trading World Wide
I can remember back in 2004 before the plebiscite on Sunday shopping ,we were told that we were the last province in Nova Scotia to have Sunday shopping. Needless to say, Prince Edward Island was also being fed that same exact line by the media, which promotes business. After all, who advertises with them? It's something we all should be thinking about.
In Winnipeg, the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce is pushing the government to loosen up the laws on Sunday shopping. The store hours are limited on Sunday and they are being told when they have to close?

German court enforces day of rest

Sunday Shopping / Trading World Wide Fantastic News, German Court Enforces Day of Rest. Isn't it about time? If we do not enforce a tax law no one would pay taxes. If we do not enforce holiday pay, business' would not pay out holiday pay. You have to have laws in a society to help those who cannot help themselves.

As we move into the 21st Century as some like to point out, I have to wonder if we aren't going  backwards instead of ahead. Can you actually believe that France is debating wider Sunday shopping? http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/france-debates-wider-sunday-shopping/article1217535/
French President Nicolas Sarkozy's government has proposed a bill to introduce Sunday trading.

After doing some research, it is not hard to see that Sunday laws are a good possibility across our beautiful land  as many people are seeing the benefits by having a day off
and it's a  benefit of saving our environment at the same time.

Good News Sunday Shopping Banned in Croatia
Posted by sos on Wednesday, January 07 @ 02:19:40 PST (768 reads)
Sunday Shopping / Trading World Wide What fantastic news! No Sunday shopping, and it took the catholic church to pressure government to see this happen. Sadly it had to be the government in Croatia that banned Sunday shopping. Why is it that our government officials want Sunday shopping?

Sunday Shopping in Canada  I have learned that so many people are timid in speaking out against Sunday shopping. I can't understand why? It does not matter if you are a cashier, a cart pusher, if you dig ditches or flip hamburgers. There is nothing wrong with speaking out! Sunday shopping may seem normal to a good many of people. So was smoking and now that's naughty.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy was trying his best to get Sunday trading passed in France. It's a good thing he didn't succeed.
